“I recently asked my friend’s little girl what she wanted to be when she grows up. She said she wanted to be president some day.

Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked her, ‘If you were president what would be the first thing you would do?’

She replied, ‘I’d give food and houses to all the homeless people.’
Her parents beamed.

‘Wow….. what a worthy goal.’ I told her, ‘But you don’t have to wait to be president to do that. You can come over to my house and mow the lawn, pull weeds and sweep my yard, and I’ll pay you $50.’

‘Then I’ll take you over to the grocery store where homeless guys hang out, and you can give them the $50 you earned, to use for food and a new house.’

She thought that over for a few seconds, then looked me straight in the eye and asked, ‘Why doesn’t the homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can pay him the $50?’

I said, ‘Welcome to the Republican Party.’
Her parents still aren’t speaking to me.”

Career politicians of both parties are bent on creating policy ensuring they have a life time job as the elite shepherds of the common man. Elevated to their lofty positions by those who votes they buy through promising them a share of the pie they didn’t earn.

Protesting those policies hoping to remove those responsible are one of the few ways we can attempt to foster a real change and a return to smaller government and personal responsibility. It is not about the man but about the system, everyone in government is responsible for keeping the system intact as the founding fathers envisioned. They foresaw the current situation and drafted our constitution in hopes of preventing it from coming to pass. Over time, and it didn’t happen overnight or even with the last election, politicians have corrupted the system and we are on the verge of collapsing as a free market democratic society. The last election was the last straw.

Much credit is being heaped on Obama for the Somalia Pirate incident, when in reality all he did was to “authorize” the Captain to use deadly force if the life of the hostage was in danger.

It’s prudent and proper to respond with deadly force against this form of terrorism (robbers with a “good business plan” -CNN) and I applaud the outcome, however I have this question.

I can’t help but wonder where all the Bush bashers are now that Obama has engaged in “cowboy diplomacy” getting the pirates “mad at us” and making us “less safe”. Let’s see — The libs are actually praising him for killing 3 kids in lifeboat who were running out of food, water and ammunition, they were actively negotiating for the hostage’s release and so scared by being surrounded by our warships they were ready to just hand him over!

How would that have played were it G.W. B.?

Postscript — The surviving pirate will brought to the U.S. for trial and provided with zealous attorneys, all under the watchful eyes of the ACLU guarding his “rights” at every turn. He’ll probably sue for damages and might even win!

One more hollow point could have saved us taxpayers a ton of money.

“America was founded on Christian principles when only 17% of Americans belonged to churches, that number rose to 62% by the time Ronald Reagan assumed office.”

Today, a great majority of Americans are Christian and a majority of non-Christians and agnostics espouse the exact same principles that are at the root of Christianity, in fact the latest figures I could find put the number of non-Christians who do not espouse Christian principles at a mere 8% meaning 92% of all Americans identify themselves as Christian or as believing in Christian principles. Lest we forget, though the percentage of Christians in this country has declined, so has the immigration of non-Christians increased, as an old algebra professor once told me it’s all in the way you scale the graph.

Liberals love to present information in the way it advances their agenda, they want you to ignore the large population of Muslims, Hindus, Shintos, Confucians, Baha’i’s and etc. that call America home. Witness, those whom are recognizable by their dress have become so commonplace that they are virtually unnoticed in today’s population. What the true numbers are I don’t know and I don’t really care because I do know that my America is not only overwhelmingly Christian it is also Christian principled. Those who would tell us differently are turning those very principles against us!

We as Christian Americans believe in religious freedom and we welcome those looking to practice theirs here, in peace, so don’t try to tell us that we are not a Christian Nation!.

Mr. Obama – Just because your tele-prompter says so doesn’t make it true. How do we know you’re lying? Your lips are moving! Whether your muddling through your own thoughts or reading the epistle of your holy cathode ray tube, you veil the truth. Every day more and more people see you for what you are and are no longer listening.

Obama’s ego my have catastrophic effects on the country through decisions he or others make after he melts down due to the certainty of negativity to his agenda, think about this:

• We know he has a huge ego or a god complex
• He can’t stand any one questioning his policies (Joe the Plumber)
• He doesn’t want the cartoonists to characterize his ears (Article)
• He’s cautioned the White House Press Corps to not write negatively about him
• He has DCCC petitioning against Rush Limbaugh for speaking out against him (See their website)
• Editorial saying that criticizing the president is treason (unbelievable)
• Another editorial claimed the “honeymoon” is over because Obama was slightly criticized

When you admonish the press and tell them what they can or can’t write or how they can portray him, he’s quashing the first amendment to protect his projected image. When you have the DCCC jumping on a commentator, out of context, for expressing his views you can bet Obama was behind it. Or are they so stupid they didn’t think it would backfire?

I believe all the above are signs that Obama is so self possessed that he will cave under the pressure of scrutiny and criticism, and when the inevitable end to the Obama love affair comes along he’ll have a breakdown. Either they will hide it and our “first time I’ve ever been proud of our country” or a buffoon called Biden will be calling the shots, any way you look at it we’re still screwed!

Was it said, someone liked to interview the Pope because they only had to kiss his ring!

So much has been said and so much has been ignored regarding the media bias in favor of the left wing, their socialist agenda and their Democratic lap dogs, that it seems hopeless the main stream media will ever mend it’s ways.

A good example is the recent article about Caroline Kennedy and the “ugly swirl of rumors” surrounding her dropping out of consideration for Hillary’s Senate seat.

The first time I saw any MSM reports of the “ugly rumors” was in the article citing them as the reason she dropped out! Like that was the reason she folded, not Governor Patterson signaling he wasn’t going to name her, forget her “qualifications you know”. I immediately thought about Sarah Palin and the MSM feeding frenzy over a maelstrom of ugly rumors about her and the daily “reporting” with the certainty they’re all true and their frantic attempts to verify them!

Day after day of Palin Bashing, and they’re still afraid of her!

Talk about bias, what crap! Impartiality is all but gone.

A modern day parable.

After Captain Picard was assimilated into the Borg collective he sent a message to the Enterprise – “I am Locutus… of Borg. Resistance… is futile. Your life as it has been… is over. From this time forward… you will service… us.” Well it didn’t come to happen and the Captain eventually returned to comand of the Enterprise. In later episodes the Borg were defeated.

You can see where this is going. A seemingly unstopable adversary with a mission to assimilate all cultures into a single minded entity, (read liberals) turning every species they encountered into Borg “drones” (liberals again) was eventually defeated by the aptly named “Enterprise” and the resourcefullness of free thinking individuals, and the Captain returned to command his ship.

 Borg=liberals –  liberals=Borg!

You’ve risen to where you are, due to a large quantity of hot air.

You made a promise that you have no idea how to keep, and you expect me to
solve your problem.

You’re in exactly the same position you were in before we met, but, now
somehow, it’s my fault.”

In a recent article by columnist David Broder, arguing in favor of national health care, he states that Barack Obama “could well argue the current plight of the Big Three automakers stems in part from from the burden (they) are carrying for the failures of our employer base health system.” And that the foreign auto makers are “operating in countries where the government and society pay the cost of health care.”

There is a serious credibility issue here; first off there is no proof that our health care system is broken. Ask any Canadian or other country’s citizen, who comes to the United States for treatment. They come here because they can’t get care or treatment in a timely fashion, or at all, in their home country. One Canadian friend of mine told me that Canada has a two tier health care system, the government paid health care and (thankfully) the care available here in the United States. Secondly a large portion of the “foreign companies” are building their cars here in the United States by American workers under our “broken” system. What he also doesn’t say is that the non-union foreign car companies labor costs are half of the Big Three’s labor cost, and the foreign car companies labor costs are still a third higher than the labor cost of the average private sector worker.

The problem is not with the health care system but the with the United Auto Workers Union leveraging the market share the Big Three once had into salaries and benefits unheard of in solvent and competitive industries. Equally to blame are the company managers who agreed to those inflated salaries and benefits while they were fat and happy, now they can no longer compete and want the taxpayer to bail them out.

Mr. Broder expects the government to relieve the Big Three of their burden by nationalizing health care. Will that solve Detroit’s problem, hardly, does anyone even believe that the UAW would give up their “gold-plated” coverage in favor of a national system? Think again.
