See the unspoken message

In following the Supreme Court’s action on Obamacare one doesn’t have to look very close to see how the media focuses on the “pro” demonstrators making it appear they far outnumber the “anti” demonstrators. But that aside it’s plain to see the pros are well funded, having professional signage no doubt having the union made “bug”, the few if any anti demonstrators shown have their home made signs. Surely they want to depict the pros as being in a vast majority, and the anti Obamacare folks as a few disorganized people. What a sham!

A true journalist, if any existed, would show the entire crowd, not simply a line of paid protesters and impart the true sense of the public. One would also question the demonstrators and ask who is providing their monetary support, I know it would be enlightening.

America is on the brink and though we can’t change how the media portrays us we mustn’t give up in frustration. I believe the medias blind servitude to their Ob-Idol will be delivered a huge dose of reality in November. The demise of Obamacare for-shadowing his defeat.

Don’t blame the 1 Percent

Can Warren Buffet give you a drivers license, fine you or issue a building permit? Of course not but some lowly clerk/bureaucrat in any government position can. These are the people who make your life hell!  Think curly light bulbs and low flow toilets.
Government bureaucracies are the source of our problems, not the 1 percent.  The more government grows the more liberties we loose.

Columnist George Will states: “The left exists to enlarge the state’s supervision of life, narrowing individual choices in the name of collective good. Hence the left’s hostility to markets. And to automobiles—people going wherever they want whenever they want. … The green left understands that the direct route to government control of almost everything is to stigmatize, as a planetary menace, something involved in almost everything—carbon.”

Our Government Lies to Us

WASHINGTON (AP) – An Afghan soldier shot to death a 22-year-old Marine at an outpost in southwestern Afghanistan last month in a previously undisclosed case of apparent Afghan treachery that marked at least the seventh killing of an American military member by his supposed ally in the past six weeks, Marine officials said.

Lance Cpl. Edward J. Dycus of Greenville, Miss., was shot in the back of the head on Feb. 1 while standing guard at an Afghan-U.S. base in the Marja district of Helmand province.

When the Pentagon announced Dycus’ death the day after the shooting, it said he died “while conducting combat operations” in Helmand. It made no mention of treachery, which has become a growing problem for U.S. and allied forces as they work closely with Afghan forces to wind down the war

We Should be Afraid, Very Afraid

(CNSNews.com) – John P. Holdren, the White House science adviser to President Barack Obama, wrote in a book he co-authored with population control advocates Paul and Anne Ehrlich that “ways must be found to control advertising”.

“Advertising now functions in large part to keep the economy growing by creating demand for a wide variety of often useless, dangerous or environmentally destructive products,” Holdren and the Ehrlichs wrote.

“Its most dangerous abuses might be halted immediately by legislative action,” they said. “For instance, it could be made illegal for any utility to advertise in such a way as to promote greater demand for power. Also references to size, power or sexual potency (direct or implied) could be banned from automobile advertising.”

Holdren and the Ehrlichs’ suggestions were presented in a 1973 book–Human Ecology: Problems and Solutions—in which they argued that the United States and other developed countries (DCs) needed to transition from a “cowboy economy” to a “spaceman economy.”

“Worldwide population limitation must be accompanied by other major changes if present trends are to be reversed and the already awesome burden of human misery is to be kept from increasing,” they wrote. “The most urgent of the needed changes is a series of moves to close rapidly the widening gap between the rich and the poor nations

(My Addition)  The current administrations solution seems to be make America poorer, not poor nations richer.

Never underestimate the brilliance of our federal bureaucracy.

Intro to an article by Michael Tanner

The Department of Health and Human Services has announced that it must delay implementation of new reimbursement codes for Medicare. Those new regulations would have increased the total number of reimbursement codes from the current 18,000 to more than 140,000 separate codes. The delay will undoubtedly come as a relief for physicians who will have additional time to try to understand the bureaucratic complexity of rules that, for example, apply 36 different codes for treating a snake bite, depending on the type of snake, its geographical region, and whether the incident was accidental, intentional self-harm, assault, or undetermined. The new codes also thoroughly differentiate between nine different types of hang-gliding injuries, four different types of alligator attacks, and the important difference between injuries sustained by walking into a wall and those resulting from walking into a lamppost.

And Democrats wonder why Americans still resist having the government control our health care?

It Is Bush’s Fault

Here’s an opinion piece by Chuck Green who writes “Greener Pastures” for the Denver Post Aurora Sentinel…one of the more liberal papers in the country. Additionally, Mr. Green is a lifelong Democrat…so this is rather a stunning piece…

Obama is victim of Bush’s failed promises!
Barack Obama is setting a record-setting number of records during his first term in office: Largest budget ever. Largest deficit ever. Largest number of broken promises ever. Most self-serving speeches ever. Largest number of agenda-setting failures ever. Fastest dive in popularity ever!

George Bush, who doesn’t have a vote in congress and who no longer occupies The White House, is to blame for it all.

He broke Obama’s promise, to put all bills on the White House web site for five days before signing them.

He broke Obama’s promise, to have the congressional health care negotiations broadcast live on C-SPAN.

He broke Obama’s promise, to end earmarks.

He broke Obama’s promise, to keep unemployment from rising above 8 percent.

He broke Obama’s promise, to close the detention center at Guantanamo in the first year.

He broke Obama’s promise, to end the hiring of former lobbyists into high White House jobs.

He broke Obama’s promise, to end no-compete contracts with the government.

He broke Obama’s promise, to disclose the names of all attendees at closed White House meetings.

He broke Obama’s promise, for a new era of bipartisan cooperation in all matters.

Yes, it’s all George Bush’s fault! President Obama is nothing more than a puppet in the never-ending failed Bush administration.

Economic Freedom

From Judge Janet Napolitano
The root of economic freedom is the recognition of the right to own private property. That includes the right to utilize it unmolested, to dispose of it without anyone’s permission and to exclude anyone from it, even the government. Suffice it to say, no American president since the advent of the income tax and the Federal Reserve 100 years ago has fully accepted or meaningfully defended that right. The more the government extracts in taxes and the more it inflates the money supply, the more it rejects and assaults property rights.

Every president in the 20th century, even Ronald Reagan, signed legislation raising income taxes. The theory behind the income tax is that the government’s need for cash is so great, it can just take it from you and use it as it sees fit. This presumes that the federal government has a greater right to your income than you do.
The absence of economic freedom today is nothing new and didn’t come about overnight. It is the culmination of the Progressive Era, which gave us the Federal Reserve and the income tax; the New Deal, which gave us the beginning of entitlements; the Great Society, which enhanced the numbers of people who received entitlements; Ronald Reagan, who bashed entitlements during the six years he was running for president but did nothing to dismantle them; and every president from Dwight Eisenhower to George W. Bush, all of whom just accepted the welfare and warfare state as if the Constitution didn’t exist.

Today, we have President Obama who wants to enhance the welfare and warfare state by having socialized medicine and perpetual war at the same time.

Obama Defined

At some point every president defines himself and his policies. By turning to TR’s New Nationalism model in his own Osawatomie speech, Obama revealed once and for all that his objective as president is to complete the progressive transformation of America, and define its next phase as assuring not equal opportunity, but “Fair” outcomes, by redistributing wealth and benefits through an ever more complicated and extensive government that regulates more and more of the economy and society.
He alluded to “an America where hard work paid off, and responsibility was rewarded, and anyone could make it if they tried–no matter who you were, no matter where you came from, no matter how you started out.” But continued with this “basic bargain” has become so “eroded by the marketplace that the defining issue of our time is to restore growth and prosperity, restore balance, restore Fairness.”
The choice we face, as Obama frames it is between the harshness of market capitalism (defined in straw-man fashion as “you’re-on-your-own economics” with “a free license to take whatever you can from whomever you can” and the fairness of progressive nationalism (the view that “we are greater together–when everyone engages in fair play, and everybody gets a fair shot, and everybody does their fair share”.
The word “Fair” recurs in various forms throughout the speech, with reminders along the way that things have to be made Fair–and that means ever more government authority, programs, and regulation. “As a nation,” Obama said, “we’ve always come together, through our government.” And so Obama returned to his mantra of more federal education programs, more infrastructure spending, and more economic regulations. And, of course, raising taxes on the wealthy to pay for these “investments” would only be fair.
Obama denies the charge of class warfare but what he is actually doing is cobbling together an alliance of state dependents, government hangers-on, and political elites who claim the capacity to run things. Obama’s program is fundamentally about the rise of a new governing class that insists on enforcing political and economic “fairness” rather than letting us govern ourselves.
As the national government becomes ever more centralized and bureaucratic, acting without constitutional limits, it also becomes more undemocratic, and more potentially despotic, than ever. The result is a government designed to secure the right to “the pursuit of happiness” and to break down unjust barriers to opportunity now penalizes success, restricts opportunity, and has become the chief barrier to the achievement of the American Dream.
Consider that after almost 50 years of the governments war on poverty the poor have lost.
